Clowns, once joyful symbols of birthday parties, now evoke associations with horror stories, representing the varied perspectives we hold throughout life, including our interpretation of a clown’s enigmatic smile. de Lange’s Fall/Winter Knitwear Collection captures the poignant theme of childhood innocence lost.
Featuring a variety of muted but bright tones, vulnerable cut outs, and a distressed aesthetic, “A Clown’s Grimace” shows the transition from childhood to adulthood, a journey of maturing, accepting losses, while retaining the essence of our inner child.
